Google Business Profile setup
Your Google Business Profile is how people find you on Maps and in local search. You create it from your own Google account, so you always own it, and I get it set up properly as a manager you invite. I'll guide you through Google's verification and keep it consistent with your website.
Ask for a quote. It can be added to a new website or done on its own.
What I set up
A half-finished profile is easy to miss. I make sure the details Google and customers look at are right.
- Walking you through creating the profile in your own Google account, and verification (Google sends the code to you, as the owner)
- Filling it in properly as a manager you invite, so you stay the owner
- The right categories and services
- Photos, opening hours and your service area
- Linking it to your website
- A review link and QR code, so asking for reviews is easy
- The same name, address and phone number everywhere you're listed
Why it sits alongside a website
The profile gets you found. Your website is where you tell your full story and turn a visitor into an enquiry. They work best together.
Questions
- Do I need a Google account?
- Yes. A profile belongs to a Google account, and the business owner should create it from their own so they always control it. You then invite me as a manager, which lets me edit it without owning it, and you can remove my access at any time.
- Can you verify my profile for me?
- No. Google sends the verification to the business owner, by postcard, phone, email or a short video call depending on the business. You receive it and confirm it, and I'll talk you through each step so it goes smoothly.
- Can you do this if I don't have a website?
- Yes. A profile can stand on its own, and you can add a website later.
- Why isn't my business showing on Google Maps?
- It's usually an unverified or incomplete profile. The guide linked on this page walks through the common causes.
