I design,

Independent web work in Bournemouth and across the South West, for the cafés, tradespeople and small shops keeping your town running. One person, start to finish — no agency, no upsell, no nonsense.

Why I do
this.

I grew up in Wiltshire and moved to Bournemouth for Uni in 2004 — and I've been here ever since. I work as a software engineer and love figuring out how things work, which led to my venture as a web designer.

One of my favourite things about Bournemouth is the interest and personality small businesses bring to the town. I tend to favour local — from hairdressers, to bakers, even cleaners. But I recently realised a lot of my favourite local businesses don't have a web presence, and an informal survey showed people often found it expensive, overwhelming, and didn't know where to start.

I'd like to change that. Personalised, affordable web design for local businesses, so they can maximise their potential.

Plain
answers

  • How does this work?

I work collaboratively with you to figure out the intricacies of your business and how you want your website to convey that. A strong website is built on a deep understanding of the people and the business behind it — I keep that at the front of all my work.

  • How much does a website cost?

I keep prices low to support local businesses on smaller budgets — builds start from as little as £100, with hosting and care from £15/month. I'll give you a fixed quote after we've spoken.

  • How long does it take?

Two to four weeks for a typical small-business site, from first call to going live.

  • Can you update my existing site instead?

Sometimes, if it's built on something sensible. Often a rebuild is cheaper than nursing along an old one — I'll tell you straight.
