Email on your own domain
You@yourbusiness.co.uk looks more trustworthy than a Gmail or BT address, and it stays with your business if you ever change provider. I set it up for you, so it works on your phone and doesn't land in spam.

Your options
There are three sensible routes, and I'll recommend the simplest one that fits.
- Simple forwarding: mail to your business address lands in the inbox you already use
- Google Workspace: a proper mailbox with Gmail's interface, calendar and shared storage (my usual recommendation)
- Microsoft 365: the same idea, if you already live in Outlook and Office
What I take care of
The part that goes wrong when people do it themselves is the DNS setup behind the scenes.
- MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC records, so your mail is delivered and not marked as spam
- Help with moving your old mail across
- Setting it up on your phone and laptop
Questions
- Do I need email on my own domain?
- You don't need it, but customers trust a business address more, and it keeps your email independent of any one provider.
- Can you set it up if my website is with someone else?
- Usually yes. Email only needs access to your domain's DNS settings, so it doesn't depend on who built your website.
